New Soaps and Sugar Scrubs

 Bumble Berry
This is my handmilled soap with cold processed soap icing on the top.  I love the way these turned out.
I have been working on sugar scrubs.  This one is not bubbly but rather oil based and super moisturizing.
Straight up lavender!  Smells so nice.
These cupcakes turned out so cute and girly!  The bottoms are scented in bergamot and frankincense essential oils.  The frosting is unscented.  I will definitely make this combination of eo's again.

I have been enjoying working with essential oils so much.  There is so much to learn about them and I have been researching and studying their different benefits.  It's been so interesting.

There are a few craft shows in my area coming up and we are planning on doing them.  They are a whole lot of work but they end up being fun.  So I've decided, we will do it until it's not fun anymore ;).  I think it's mostly the loading and unloading, packing and unpacking that's hard.  The fun part is just getting out there talking to people about the soaps and meeting people.

Thanks for stopping by to read the blog.  I hope you are having  great week! ~ Lori

Lots to Share

I made this soap with my own blend of essential oils. I thought these would make nice treats to put in my Mother's Day gift sets. I did a pretty cocoa line through the bars and they turned out so nice. These soaps smell so fruity. The blend is Sweet Orange, Bergamot, Clove, Ylang Ylang, and Lemon essential oils. I have found that I love working with essential oils.

I've been keeping the end slices and packaging them up to list in my etsy shop for people that would love to try the different bars. They are still over 1 to 2 oz. bars.

Getting ready for our craft show, I'm trying to fill this up with soap samples. I love to give my customers samples to take home and try and they seem to enjoy getting them.

More soap samples...

Cupcake soap all wrapped up ready to go to someone!

These have just been listed in my etsy shop. I LOVE THESE. I kept one for myself. They have oatmeal on the inside for exfoliating and again, they are my own blend of Frankinscense, Clove, and Camomile. I think I will continue to keep these in my shop.

This is my gentle, plain and simple soap. It is fragrance free and color free for people that need something very gentle.

I am making more candles today. This will be the first craft show I've taken them to so I'm anxious to see how well they do.

Burning one of my wax tarts. I love this picture of my grandmother. I think she was so pretty. ;0)

Bathbombs, Soap, and a Blankie

I made this 2 1/2 lb. soap for a family member this week. Gotta get that in the mail soon.

My bathbombs didn't crack! I was so happy. These are scented in Wildberry Scone and they are really big. I am going to make another batch today and get them listed on my etsy this evening sometime. I just love it when these guys work out.

I completed this baby blanket for a soap buddy of mine. She's having her first baby soon. I made a hat to match but ran out of yarn for the very last row. ;0)

Stay tuned for more soap and bathbomb pics this week. I have a lot of orders to complete and another craft show we will be preparing for in March.

Lotion Bars and Bath Bombs

I have a love/hate with bath bombs. I haven't been making them for quite a while now. I pretty much just said I wasn't going to mess with them anymore. I have a great recipe but I had to just stop making them over the summer b/c no matter what I did, they would crack open. So many batches were ruined, I decided for my own sanity, I would just stop making them...I MISS them! So this week, I am receiving some new molds and bomb colorants and I'm going to start again. Our weather isn't so humid right now so I am hoping for the best because I'd really like to put some in my shop. People love bath bombs.

I have also been making some solid lotion bars. These are fragranced in Strawberry Cheesecake. I just listed them in my etsy shop for Valentine's Day. I love these things. This is a nice recipe but I'm also tinkering around with another recipe that has some different oils in it. I may make some with that recipe this weekend.

We got invited to do another craft show in our surrounding area in March so I'm really excited about that. I will be making a few batches of soap in the next few weeks to prepare for it so I will be posting pictures of all those.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you are having a great week. ;0)~Lori
